What we collect, and why.
Who we are
[Legal name on file], trading as Glucagon Research, of [Address on file], is the controller of the personal information described here. This policy covers this website and the ordering, support and dispatch process behind it, not any third-party site we link to.
What we collect
Information you give us — order details (name, institution, billing and shipping address, email, phone, and the products, strengths, quantities and lot numbers ordered); correspondence through the contact form or email; and account details where a purchase-order facility is opened.
Information collected automatically — IP address, browser and device type, referring page and the pages viewed, with timestamps, and cookie identifiers (see below). We do not collect health information and do not ask for it — please do not send us any.
Why we use it
To take, check, pack, dispatch and invoice an order and answer questions about one; to reconcile a delivered vial to its lot and certificate of analysis; to detect and investigate fraudulent orders and misuse of this site; to keep accounting and tax records; to understand which pages are used, so the site can be improved; and to send email you have asked for, and only that. Where a jurisdiction requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of the contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests, and consent, as applicable.
Payment information
Card numbers are entered directly with our payment provider and processed by them. We never receive or store a full card number. What reaches us is the transaction outcome, the card brand, the last four digits, and the billing name and address needed to reconcile payment. Our payment provider is an independent controller of the information it collects.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies: strictly necessary (cart, checkout state, session integrity and fraud checks — the site does not function without these), preference (remembering a selected strength so a page does not reset), and measurement (aggregate page views and referrers, set only where permitted). Cookies can be blocked or deleted in your browser, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will break checkout. We do not run advertising cookies, build behavioural profiles, or sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Only with the parties needed to run the business, each bound to our instructions: our payment provider, to authorize and settle a transaction; carriers, to deliver a shipment and provide tracking; hosting, email and support providers, to operate the site and our correspondence; accountants and advisers, for a specific engagement; and authorities, where legally required. If the business is sold or merged, records may transfer to the acquirer under this same policy. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and dispatch records: seven years from the order date, the period our accounting and supply records are kept for. Correspondence: three years from the last message in a thread. Account details: for as long as the account is open, then seven years alongside its orders. Technical logs: 12 months. Email subscription records: until you unsubscribe, plus the record of the unsubscribe itself. After the retention period, information is deleted or irreversibly aggregated.
How it is protected
Access to order and customer records is restricted to people who need it, over authenticated accounts with multi-factor authentication. Traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit, and records are held with providers who encrypt data at rest. No transmission over the internet can be made perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information and the law requires it, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the period the law sets.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to confirm what personal information we hold and give you a copy, correct or delete it, restrict or object to a particular use, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to support@glucagonresearch.com; we verify the request against information we already hold and respond within 45 days. The order record and accounting record are kept for their retention period because we are required to keep them.
Email from us
Transactional email — order confirmation, dispatch, tracking, a certificate release, or a reply to a question — is sent because you placed an order or wrote to us, and cannot be switched off while an order is open. Any other email is sent only if you asked for it, and every message carries a working unsubscribe link. We do not pass email addresses to anyone for their own marketing.
