Plain terms for research buyers.
The parties
These terms are the agreement between [Legal name on file], trading as Glucagon Research (“we”), and the person or organization placing an order (“you”). They apply to every order placed through this site and are read together with the Research Use Only Policy and the Shipping page. Where these documents conflict, the Research Use Only Policy takes precedence. No purchase order or other document you issue varies these terms unless we agree to it in writing.
Who may buy
By ordering you represent that you are a qualified researcher, or are ordering on behalf of a research institution, laboratory or company employing qualified personnel and are authorized to bind it; that you are competent to receive, store and dispose of laboratory chemicals; and that you are acquiring the goods exclusively for laboratory research and no other purpose.
Permitted use
The goods are laboratory research chemicals and analytical reference materials only — not drugs, foods, cosmetics, supplements or medical devices, and not evaluated by the FDA for any purpose. They are not for human or veterinary use, not for diagnostic use, and not for administration to a person or an animal in any form. We publish no instruction on preparing or administering them, and nothing on this site should be read as one.
No resale for human use
You will not resell, repackage, relabel, formulate or transfer any product for human or veterinary application, in any form. This survives delivery and applies to any onward recipient. Where you transfer a product to another qualified researcher, you will pass on the lot number, the certificate of analysis and these restrictions in full, and remain responsible for the recipient's compliance.
Orders and prices
An order is an offer to buy; the agreement forms only when we send a dispatch confirmation. Prices are in US dollars and exclude shipping and tax, calculated at checkout. We may correct a manifest pricing error before dispatch, in which case you may cancel the affected line for a full refund. Payment is taken in full at checkout; card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us. Stock is quoted by lot — where a lot sells out before dispatch we offer the next released lot or refund the line. We do not substitute a different compound or strength.
We may decline, limit or cancel any order at our discretion and refund any amount taken — for example on a failed payment check, a destination we do not serve, or any communication indicating an intended use other than laboratory research. Declining an order on those grounds creates no liability beyond refunding money taken.
Delivery, title and risk
We ship within the United States only; dispatch timing, packing, carriers and tracking are described on the Shipping page and form part of these terms. Delivery dates are estimates. Title passes to you on receipt of payment in full; risk passes to you on delivery to the carrier.
You will inspect each shipment on arrival, verify the compound, strength, quantity and lot number against the packing note, and place vials into storage at the temperature stated on the product page and the certificate for that lot. We are not responsible for degradation caused by storage or handling after delivery.
Warranty and the certificate
We warrant that at the time of dispatch each product conforms to the certificate of analysis published for its lot. That is the entire warranty. Except for it, the goods are supplied “as is,” and we disclaim all other warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Determining suitability for any experiment or protocol is the buyer's responsibility. A warranty claim must be made within 30 days of delivery, in writing, quoting the lot number and enclosing the analytical data the claim rests on; our sole obligation is to replace the affected vials or refund their price, at our option.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of research output or the cost of repeating work, nor for any loss arising from any use of the goods other than laboratory research. You will indemnify us against claims arising from your handling, storage, use, transfer or disposal of the goods, and from your breach of these terms or the Research Use Only Policy.
Returns and transit damage
An order may be cancelled at no cost before dispatch. Unopened vials in original outer packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery with a return authorization from us; return shipping is at your cost unless the return is our error. Opened vials, or any vial whose seal is broken, cannot be returned. Transit damage or a shortfall must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, in writing, with photographs; claims made later or without photographs cannot be assessed. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State on file], United States. The state and federal courts located in [venue on file] have exclusive jurisdiction, and both parties submit to it. We may amend these terms at any time; the version in force when you order governs that order. If a provision is held unenforceable, it is severed and the rest remain in force.
