Research Use Only. Every product sold by Glucagon Research is supplied strictly as a laboratory research chemical for qualified researchers and laboratory professionals. Products are not for human or veterinary use, not for diagnostic use, and are not drugs, foods, cosmetics, supplements or medical devices. No product on this site has been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for any purpose. Nothing on this website is medical advice, and no statement here is a claim that any product has any effect on any condition in any organism. Purchasers are solely responsible for lawful handling, storage, use and disposal under all applicable laws and institutional requirements.
This policy applies to every material we supply, every page of this site, every quotation, invoice, label and certificate we issue, and every communication from our desk. It is incorporated into the Terms of Sale; where any other page or document appears inconsistent with it, this policy governs.
What these materials are not
Nothing supplied by Glucagon Research is a drug or any version of one; a food, beverage, supplement or ingredient for any of them; a cosmetic or medical device; a diagnostic reagent; a sterile preparation intended for administration to a person or an animal; or a product evaluated or approved by any regulatory authority for any use. Glucagon Research is a laboratory chemical supplier — not a pharmacy, not a compounding facility, and not an outsourcing facility under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
Who may purchase
Purchase is restricted to qualified researchers, or persons ordering on behalf of a research institution, laboratory or company that employs qualified personnel. By ordering you confirm the materials are for laboratory research use only and that you will not use, administer, resell or redistribute them for human or veterinary consumption.
Permitted use
Permitted use is laboratory research and analytical reference work carried out in a controlled laboratory setting by competent personnel — for example, in-vitro assay work, analytical method development, instrument calibration, reference-standard comparison, and stability or formulation studies that do not involve a person or an animal receiving the material. Use must comply with your institution's approvals, your local law, and the storage conditions published on the product page and the certificate for the lot.
Prohibited use
Prohibited absolutely, and a breach ends the right to purchase from us: any administration to a person or an animal, by any route, under any circumstance; any use in or supporting clinical care, compounding, dispensing or a diagnostic procedure; use as, or as an ingredient in, a food, beverage, supplement or cosmetic; resale, repackaging or transfer for human or veterinary application; removing or obscuring the lot number or any label element; and presenting the material, or any document we issue about it, as evidence that it is suitable for a person.
We publish storage temperatures, physical form and the analytical panel run on the lot — nothing on preparation, quantity or how a person might take a material, because no legitimate research reason exists for it. For the same reason we do not sell solvents, hardware or accessories alongside these materials, and our desk will not answer a question about any application outside a laboratory.
Why we make no claims
You will not find a description on this site of what any compound does in a living organism, in any framing. Product pages carry the compound class, identifiers, specifications, the certificate, storage and handling — that is the whole of it. A supplier that describes effects, however carefully hedged, is making a claim about a material that is not approved for anyone to receive.
Documentation and lot records
Every vial carries a lot number, and every released lot has a certificate of analysis in the open COA library, published in full. Records are batch-specific and not transferable between lots. A certificate describes the material as analysed by an independent laboratory on a stated date. It is not a statement that the material is suitable for any purpose, and it is emphatically not a statement that it is suitable for a person. Accreditation held by the laboratory applies to its competence for the methods on its scope; it is not an approval, certification or endorsement of any product.
Your responsibilities
Store the material at the temperature published for it, protected from light, in its original labelled vial. Keep it secured, clearly identified as a research chemical, separate from anything intended for a person or an animal, and restricted to personnel competent to handle research chemicals. Keep your own records tying the lot number to the work it was used in, and dispose of unused material and vials as laboratory waste under your institution's procedures and your local law. You are responsible for every licence, permit and institutional approval that applies to you, and for confirming that possession and use are lawful where you are before you order. We ship within the United States only, and will not ship where we understand the material to be controlled or prohibited.
How we enforce this
We may decline, hold or cancel any order at our sole discretion and refund it, including where an enquiry, order pattern or shipping arrangement suggests an intended use other than laboratory research. Where a customer describes an intended human or veterinary use to us, in any channel, we will not supply them — then or afterwards. We close accounts for a breach of the prohibited-use provisions above, and reserve every legal remedy available in a serious case. Declining supply on these grounds creates no liability beyond refunding money taken.
If you see our materials or documents presented anywhere as suitable for a person, or resold outside these conditions, write to support@glucagonresearch.com with whatever detail you have; a report can be made anonymously, and we follow up on every one.
